Just noticed the subject title from the last note I responded to.  I
should add:  Basic English is not based on the most used words in
English--far from it, since it doesn't include the verb 'to be'--and
might not include other function words--I don't remember.  It's the
850 most semantically necessary words (according to Ogden).
