CENSORWARE
An interesting discussion about "censorware" (John McCain is for it) is in this week's VILLAGE VOICE, 19 September 2000, pg. 35 (see www.villagevoice.com).
Dow Jones shows that "censorware" has been around since at least 6-22-1996, but I didn't see it in McFedries' list.

RIPSTOP PANTS
From the PITTSBURGH POST GAZETTE, 4-2-2000, pg. G-17:
Gap Kids and Old Navy are showing "ripstop pants," long pants with a zipper above each knee, making them convertible to shorts.
There were 694 Dow Jones hits for "ripstop," but only 4 for "ripstop pants." It seems that the ads I've seen don't make the database.
