   OED's first "marinara" is Robert W. Dana's WHERE TO EAT IN NEW YORK (1948).  1948?  Jesse, is that your final posting??
   I just realized that the WHERE TO DINE IN THIRTY-NINE (1939) "veal parmigiana" (posted with "Beef Wellington") beats both the OED and Merriam-Webster.  THIS IS TOO EASY!
   DON'T DICTIONARY EDITORS EAT????
