JUMP SUIT
"Mini-skirt" is coming soon.
OED has "jump suit" from 1942, 1948, and then 1965. The first two are military jump suits and are quite different...I haven't checked patents/trademarks.
From NEW YORK magazine of the SUNDAY HERALD TRIBUNE, 12 July 1964, pg. 10, col. 2:
_Jump Suits_
by Eugenia Sheppard
The jump suit is a new, definitely different fashion. Whatever it may owe to Sir Winston Churchill in his lovable old war-time "siren suit," it ends up looking completely sleek, feminine and sexy. Probably this latest hostess uniform wouldn't have materialized so suddenly if it hadn't been for the new stretch fabrics that make it fit and move like second skin. In every kind of stretch fabric from velvet to jersey and in many non-stretch fabrics besides, the jump suit is popular for fall, a favorite of designers up and down the price scale. All jump suits are different, but all are one-piece and have comfort in common.
From THIS WEEK magazine of the SUNDAY HERALD TRIBUNE, 16 August 1964, pg. 8:
_JUMP!_
_SUITS_
For a little excitement at home,
here's just the thing to wear.
Everybody's jumping into jump suits this year--they're the latest wrinkle in the craze for clothes to wear while lounging about the premises, entertaining friends and sometimes even going out to a party.

DON'T CALL US, WE'LL CALL YOU (continued)
A miracle occurs in the editorial cartoon in the NEW YORK HERALD TRIBUNE, 1 July 1964, pg. 22, col. 3:
(Caption--ed.)
"I Really Didn't Believe You When You Said,
'Don't Call Us--We'll Call You'!"
(TSHOMBE receives a phone call in this Maudlin cartoon--ed.)
