POLISH GRAFFITI

Not exactly American graffiti, but it's in English. From the wall of the Old Town (Old Town--since 1945?):

Why do you drink and drive
When you can smoke and fly?
--Jezus '01

IF ASSHOLES COULD FLY
THIS PLACE WOULD BE AN AIRPORT.

60 YEARS OF GOURMET

My airplane reading. GOURMET magazine (_not_ the first epicurean magazine, as Ruth Reichl declares) was born in 1941 and is celebrating 60 years. Lucius Beebe and Clementine Paddleford are both in this latest issue.
