   Who coined "Big Mac"?
McDonald's will sue everybody who uses that name--even people named "McDonald" opening non-food stores.
I have shown that McDonald's didn't originate the "quarter-pound hamburger" or "chicken nuggets."
McDonald's once, during the administration of late NYC mayor Abe Beame, got very angry at NYC's Municipal Assistance Corporation for using "Big MAC."

_A Big Idea Called "Big Mac"_
"Introduced systemwide in 1968, the Big Mac was the brainchild of Jim Delligatti, one of Ray Kroc's earliest franchisees, who by the late 1960s operated a dozen stores in Pittsburgh."

Johnny Mac's drive-ins in Redwood City and Mountain View, Calif., use this distinctive menu showing a happy Scotsman enjoying a "Big Mac" sandwich. Plaid designs further carry out the Scotch theme. Color blocks are used in the menu proper to add interest and emphasize specials.

When folded, the back of the menu shows the complete breakfast offering. Take out foods and the "Big Mac" get special plugs on the front. (...)
