You are right about that. The Library of Congress changed the heading from
Kirghiz to Kyrgyz generally and has a heading for Kyrgyzstan. Anyone
looking at an online library catalog or, if they can find one, a
maintained card catalog should be directed from Kirghiz to Kyrgyz in all
cases. I can't access the OED online from home, so I don't know if they
have a section of additions, etc. If they do, my apologies for not
searching it before my earlier message.
