Halloween pronunciation

"Holloween" seems a little odd to me, too, and I live in Seattle.  OTOH,
I've always heard it as a kind of "alternative"(at least to my
ear)pronunciation, so it doesn't sound *too* odd. And I grew up in the same
time period.
