Hello. I am a student of English and American
literature, but I am interested in English linguistics
as well.
I was wondering if the expression "late in the day"
is more prevalent in British English than American
English, and whether you can think of another similar
expression (with the adjective "late" in it).
Thanks,
Steve Lombardo
