  Greetings from a brief stop in Istanbul, where I am once again on a Turkish keyboard...Forty-five bucks for a visa to enter this country for a few hours...Inflation was 100 percent last year.  This brief internet session costs a million!

LADY IN AIRPORT cocktail--Gin, Vermouth, Grand Marnier, Orange Juice.  The cocktail of the week at the airport.

TUNISIAN SALAD--seasonal greens with pan-fried mushrooms, black olives, garden rocket, basil and parmesan cheese; tomato-mustard dressing.  A web check seems to show that pepper is the main ingredient, but this is from the Istanbul airport.

VEEPER--Mentioned in the 13 May 2002 FINANCIAL TIMES.  It's a 3D animated clone of a person...Not related to Vice President Dick Cheney.
