Being Googled

Both a cousin who lives in Brooklyn and a daughter who lives in the Bronx
know and use the term.  It's standard practice to "google" a date [check the
name for web-pages, contributions to news groups, &c.]  To answer the
question as to why it isn't "yahoo" a date, the answer is simply that Google
absorbed "dejanews.com" which indexed usenet newsgroups. See the press
