LEBANON BOLOGNA

More citations, from Ancestry and then Paper of Record. It's interesting
that I couldn't find before 1900, and that it would be called "new" in 1905.

16 August 1901, NEW OXFORD ITEM (Gettysburg, PA), Pg. 8?, col. 1:
See us for nice Boiled Ham, Dried Beef, Sliced Ham and Lebanon Bologna.

4 May 1905, TRENTON TIMES (Trenton, NJ), pg. 9, col. 3:
_A New Sort of Bologna, 16c lb_
"Lebanon" bologna; made from choice selected beef smoked by a special
process which gives it a peculiarly rich flavor. It's a most appetizing addition
to one's list of meats, and for a luncheon is unsurpassed.
Give it a trial and note the result.

(PAPER OF RECORD)
26 June 1908, WILLIAMSPORT SUNDAY GRIT (PA), pg. 17, col. 6:
We call the attention of camping parties and picnickers to our full and
complete lines of Potted Ham, Potted Tongue, Beef, Boiled Ham, Lebanon Bologna,
Pickles and Olives.

PELLA BOLOGNA

   Another citation, from Ancestry.

17 June 1925, IOWA RECORDER (Greene, Iowa), pg. 3, col. 3:
The good old Dutch town of Pella, in Marion county, has established
another bologna sausage factory and that place may well be termed the bologna center
of Iowa. The Pella brand of this popular summer lunch commodity has backed
the packing house product off the map. Pella cookies also have a great
reputation and are standard goods among the elite of the big cities. When you put
mustard on that ham sandwich you naturally think of Gladbrook, in Tama county,
but when it comes to prepared horseradish the Danish brand at Cedar Falls
"speaks for itself." And nearly all of the 57 brands featured by Heinz are put up
at Muscatine from vegetables grown on Iowa soil but always sold under a
Pittsburg label.

FI NEST POLICE IN THE WORLD

A year later than the NEW YORK TIMES. From Ancestry.

23 March 1876, BURLINGTON HAWK EYE (Burlington, Iowa), pg. 3, col. 1:
   J. P. Skelly has written some still more popular comic songs. "Since
Teddy Joined the Gang," was one of his, as was also "Ain't You Awful!" and "The
Finest Police in the World."

TENDERLOIN

A few months before the NEW YORK TIMES. From Paper of Record.

   30 March 1889, WASHINGTON STAR, pg. 8, col. 3,
Police Captain Thomas Reilly, of the notorious nineteenth or "Tenderloin"
precinct, is one of the most interesting characters in this town.
