Similar usage but not at all considered off-color: the practical shooting
community uses "hoser" for someone who shoots very fast, a "hoser stage" is
a stage set up with targets so close that the shooter doesn't need to use
the sights, both possibly coming from the slang term "bullet hose" for
certain submachineguns. This sort of naturally leads into the (ineffective)
gun fight style known as "spray and pray" epitomized by the periodic news
report that a particular crime shootout had the police firing multiple tens
of shots with the offender/decedent being hit once or twice.
