Dear Ron:
I've worked with Mariusz, scholar in Poland for over a year as a consultant
on various projects of his. His request, this time, is a bit out of my field.
On my advice, he put the queries on ANS-L but only recd one amateurish
response. Perhaps his query would bring better results directly to you. Do you
have any anwers or know someone who might?
My e-mail with ADS is somewhat screwed up. Could you put it there if
necessary. I know Mariusz would be most grateful.
Cordially, *ed*

Hi,
I`ve just joined the list.
I wonder does anyone knows any papers, articles or perhaps book regarding
the topic of the metaphorical using of names (I mean as using as: "new
Einstein" 'someone splendid on physics', "Moscow agrees with the White
House" 'the Russian government...''the US government'?
The second question is about the word-formations from names (I
mean "Reaganomics", "Americanization", "Hollywoodization of war" and the
similar).
thanks
mr
