They also use <ee>, which appears to be /i/, consistently before velar nasal instead of /I/ (e.g. eenglish "English" and fisheeng "fishing"). Phonetically and phonemically this seems wrong to me.

PS: 'yeerz' has the same vowel as the second syllable of 'kunsseevd'?
