"Madam, I'm Adam" (1862)

"Madam, I'm Adam" appears frequently in the 1860s and 1870s, but not before. This is just in case Fred doens't have this.

The question I have is, if Eve wasn't running a brothel in the Big Apple, how did Adam know she was a Madam?
