Totally off topic -- Signing off/Happy Holidays

Hello all,

Due to the Christmas holidays, it makes sense to do this now. You all know
Mr. Safire announced his retirement, and although he is keeping the
language column, he is moving to the Dana Foundation. Which, well, sort of
left me out of a job. I will resub when I get my new email. My new

The millerk at nytimes.com email address will become inactive after the first
of the year. Elizabeth Phillips will be the researcher for the column
through the end of January. Then what, we don't know. Bill has requested
that we subscribe him to the list using his Dana email, so he can keep in
touch (and ask all you experts questions).

Thank you for all the help, insight, education, support you have all given
me and Safire throughout the years. It was a great run.
