   I haven't been in Nigeria for days now, but maybe I'll do some research
into Nigerian proverbs tomorrow.
   The NYPL has these books, which perhaps Fred has looked at:

   One famous Nigerian proverb is allegedly "It takes a whole village to
raise a child."  What date does Fred have?
   At the Lagos Duty Free Shop, I saw these on a JOHNNIE WALKER--KEEP WALKING
display:
