I made that part up by imagining what I would have done in similar circumstances.
Those yet constrained by a moribund pre-postal ethic would call it "fibbing," but I call it "post-modern zeitgeistal meaning enhan(cement)."

Statements like this intigue me. If the
anthropologists had gone home, who observed and
reported the words and actions of the natives?
