As we move toward a stand-alone BA & MA in linguistics, I ask for your help.

For those of you in, or products of, programs or majors in linguistics (general or English) *

Other than teaching English as a new, second, or other language, or pursuing a doctorate, what careers or types of employment were possible outcomes of your degree? What job were you qualifed to apply for?

Those of you who teach in linguistics programs, what do you say to your ling majors?
