astrobiology

[Jonathan Lighter]

I've known "exobiology" for maybe twenty years.  I recall a book of speculative but real science called _Extraterrestrial Cultures_, or something similar, from the mid '80s or a little earlier. That's possibly where I saw it.

"Exobiology" has been around in science-fiction discussions and literature
for quite a while, but I can't give any cites offhand.
