I'm assuming his version was also trisyllabic, rather than the
canonical four?  Maybe he--and the 19,900 others responsible for the
google hits on "beezlebub"--are somehow merging "Beelzebub" with
"Beetlejuice" (for the star formerly known as "Betelgeuse").
