PDF as a Verb

Although I'm doubtlessly behind the curve on this, I started using it as a
loan translation last year because it occurs in Japanese (pii dii efu-ka
suru) and needed a way to translate it. Because of that, I use it to mean
convert from a Word (or other format) to a PDF file, not the meaning below.

PDF, or Portable Document Format, is the document format used by
Adobe Acrobat and various other types of software. I've noticed recently
that it has become increasingly popular as a verb, meaning to scan a
document and transmit the resulting PDF file.
