Terminology question

A professor of English overseas asks the following:

"I am creating my own database, consisting of recent English-language
novels and movie scripts. It contains nine million words. When I refer to
it in my publication (in English), what should I call it?"

Of course I have some quaint sophomoric notions of my own but perhaps some
of the academicians can put forth a more apt term than I can.

Any suggestions?
