Appropos of the zeitgeisty part: On CNN last night ("Anderson Cooper 360"), in
a story about the James Frey pseudomemoir, there was an extended discussion
about truth vs. facts in the writing of memoirs, and although the participants
(Cooper and Carole Radziwill) weren't clued up about "truthiness," it was
quite interesting how closely their conversation brought out the very
distinctions that brought this word into the limelight. Further proof that ADS
does indeed has its finger on the pulse!
