Definitions of "Hemi"

I am interested in being pointed to any definitions, in dictionaries or
other glossaries in print or on the web, for the term "Hemi" referring to
an automotive engine.

Full Disclosure:  I am posting this query in a forensic consulting
capacity.  A previous query about the term "sports drink" was posted in a
similar capacity.
