UP terms

I grew up summering in the UP and thought you might find these terms
interesting.

After living in Cleveland, OH for many years I went back to the UP a few
years ago and discovered something I did not know.

Ishpeming and Republic in the UP are heavily influenced by Cleveland due to
the ownership of the iron mines. Thus Republic is named for Republic Steel
and many of the street names in Ishpeming are the same as those in
Cleveland.
