Nathan Bierma's latest Chicago Tribune language column is about an
article on computer-speak or "e-English" in the current issue of
English Today by Angela P. Cheater of Macao Polytechnic Institute.
Bierma says Cheater's argument is that e-English "is not just a
dialect or vocabulary -- it has grammatical principles all its own."

Bierma rightly states that Cheater's "principles" (which are mostly
morphological) are not really specific to e-English. He gives
non-computer-related examples for each of her rules.
