Roads v rows

How many of you have ever heard that it is a hard or tough road to hoe?

Damn right it is although if you have ever hoed a row that can also be
difficult.

This reminds me of the time when a friend of mine who was raised as a farm
boy spotted something on the side of a building which read something like
"Julie is hoe." and he told me it took a few minutes to realize what in
the hell it meant and why anyone in their right mind would say that a woman
was an agricultural implement.

In this day and age I guess there are too many roads and too few rows and,
God bless 'em, a lot of hoes.
