William Safire on "Quotationeer Shapiro"

Thanks to Barry for pointing out the Safire article on The Yale Book of
Quotations.  I have finally graduated from phrasedick or hawkshaw to
quotationeer.

The Dallas Morning News had an article today about the YBQ.  The article
is particularly notable in that it sheds possible light on the coinage of
"the opera ain't over until the fat lady sings":
