Misnomerous

Ever notice how "misnomer" lacks an adjectival form ?

Not to worry ! The wild, wild Wikipedians have filled the gap:

"Tape usually refers to a rolled up strip of long, thin and narrow matter; however a notable exception to the scheme of the definition is its misnomerous reference to audio media in disk or solid state format after the introduction of the audio tape."

Not in OED, but there are number of Googlits.

I assume there's already a thread on the popular "misnomer" = "error; example of specious logic."

  That's extra misnomerous.
