Case A: Male African-American Latino speaker from Buffalo:

I assume that the speaker had what a German friend of mine used to
call "a schwer English wort" handy and that, unconcerned with meaning,
he just tossed it into his testimony in an effort to impress the judge
with his erudition.
Case B: Black female speaker from Chicago:
"*He* _seeked_ *me* out!"

RE the first instance, here's a case where putting a frog on the source
of the wort -- the speaker's tongue -- would, while not curing the
original, most certainly reduce the risk of repetitions.

Re instance two:
But once he'd seeked
his interest peaked
when what he heard
was not a bird
but a verbally plop-ped turd.
