Two linguists who died in 2007 honored

Today's New York Times Magazine (December 30) features "The Lives
They Lived", of notable individuals who died in 2007.  One article
honors two linguists: Washoe and Alex, "the two greatest nonhuman
linguists of our day."  ("The Communicators," by Charles Siebert, page 42.)
