Pizza "cut" for "slice"

Unless it's relatively new (last ten years or so), no it's not regional. I
grew up on the Jersey Shore and never heard "cut" used in this way. It was
always a "slice."

Although I grew up a bit north of Ocean City. The beaches around
Atlantic/Ocean City attract a mostly Philadelphia crowd (the casinos in AC
pull them in from all over, but this is true for the beaches). The beaches
to the north, that I grew up near, were North Jersey/New York vacation
spots. There could be differences in speech.

I saw the following in USA Today. Is "cut" for a pizza "slice" just used at
Mack & Manco's in Ocean City, NJ? Is "cut" regional?

Grab a stool at Mack & Mancos' boardwalk pizza counter, order a "cut," and
you'll begin to feel the vibe. Seagulls squawking overhead, salt in the air.

christmas cut

whoever wrote the previous definition is wrong -- a christmas cut is mack
and manco's famous white pizza topped with tomato and brocolli, not spinach.

I'd like a Christmas cut, plase.
