Abbreviations have their own lives, often independent of their parents'. E.g.,
"Use your PIN number at the ATM machine." So I wouldn't consider "There's a
DNR on her chart" or "Her daughter explicitly DNRed her" (or however the
term is used as a verb or noun) in the same class as "closing or won't
fixing the bug".
