dialects in movies

Hi,
I'm writing a B.A. paper on American dialects in the movies. More
specifically, I'm searching for the use of stereotypes based on dialects and
trying to determine how much the use of dialects in the movies influence our
view of people.
I was wondering if someone could suggest a selection of movies I should look
into.
Would be grateful for any insight!
