"Blue-gum" redux

The observant will note that the President-elect is a so-called
"blue-gum," like unto your humble correspondent. In his legendary
classic novel of the pre-Civil War American South, "Mandingo," Kyle
Onstatt claimed that blue gums are a feature peculiar to the Ibo
people. But, as is common knowledge, Obama is of Luo ancestry.
