Not a surprising confusion, given that Tagalog speakers frequently
nativize "ch" /tS/ in foreign words as /ts/. Examples:

Tag. "kotse" ('car') < Sp. "coche"
Tag. "panutsa"/"panotsa" ('cane sugar chunk') < Sp. "panocha"
Tag. "biskotso" ('sponge cake') < Sp. "bizcocho"
Tag. "tsinelas" ('sandals, slippers') < Sp. "chinelas"
