 From a NYTimes article on how to achieve clean air in one's home:

Speaking of the use of plants, "Many leafy plants can be allergen
collectors", Dr. Richard Shaughnessy, director of the indoor air
program at the University of Tulsa is quoted as saying. "And the soil
is wet, which can be a source of mild spores."

(Presumably a typo.)
