OT: What is old is new, again.

Bugs me too because I'm an egghead.  Of course, any use of "deconstruct/ion"
bugs me, because the "philosophy" is an extended joke originally played
on Derrida by one of his constructed selves. (But which one? Our task,
through unpacking, is to show the mystified we can't know. Don't get me
started.)

However, we all know what "de-" means, and we all know what "construct"
means, so the step-by-step extension should come as no surprise.

Thank the nation's English teachers!  (Neocon commentators are probably to
blame too for spotlighting deconstruction in the first place.)
