Clearly, THE normal term in the ad is "toilet." The use of "throne" is obviously jocular. They expect that readers will know what "throne" refers to, but they also expect the context will make it clear what the "throne room" is. This is about the same distinction as that between "plumber's friend" and "plunger." Or "police officer" and "flatfoot." Or "three sheets to the wind" and "drunk."
