Indeed. And also, when dissolved in hot - as opposed to tepid - water,
as a footbath.

It is my sad experience that no one was given pause by the concept of
*drinking* a potion that was otherwise used only as a footbath. Not
only does Epsom salts work unnecesarily well as a purgative, but it
also has a most unpleasant taste. OTOH, its flavor is nevertheless
somewhat more pleasant than that of castor oil, whose mere odor is
stomach-turning.
