An early "African-American", 1842

The following is later than some recent uncoverings by Fred and
myself, but earlier than the OED's 1855.

"It appears hat the store was purchased by a company, called the
'African American Anti-Masonic Grocery Association;' that they hired
the store, and purchased the stock [etc.]"
