No. IMO, that question in that context makes no sense.

It's getting to the point the primary rule of English semantics is
"Gnome sane?" If the listener-reader can winkle out what, in the
relevant context, a string _ought_ to mean, why then, that's good
enough. There's no need to concern oneself with what the string
_actually_ means, even if that meaning is nonsense in any context,
