Another source for profane language origins

_Maledicta_ is not exactly mainstream linguistics but often contributed to.
The editor of that is Reinhold Aman.



Try also searching the archives of _American Speech_ for "profane" and
"profanity" and specific words of interest.



A couple of the issues of _Dictionaries-the journal of the Dictionary
Society of North America_ contain indices to articles.  I don't think it's
electronic, however.
