1934 _Billboard_ 28 July 6/3 (Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive)  Xavier Cugat, over in Europe, writes that the Continent is far ahead of America in the development of new dances. ... Besides the "Beghin," which Cugat will introduce here on his return, there are the "Raftero" (a combination of the tango and rumba) and the "Conga" (an African rumba).
