Texas-raised free-range wild boar

The other evening at a restaurant in Manasquan, NJ I had "Texas-raised,
free-range, wild boar."

Can anything "wild" be "raised"? And isn't everything "wild" also "free
range" by definition?

(It was rather bland and non-distinctive, which is not what I expect from
game.)
