... the expression, _"I'm so pushed"_ is used interchangeably with
_"I'm hipped" [sic]_.
WTF?!!! Those with long memories may recall my mention of a buddy in
Los Angeles, ca.1963, who tried to introduce the phrase, "I'm so
pushed," to the bruz & cuz as a replacement for "I'm hip," with no
success at all. My impression at the the time was that he had made up
the expression himself. I hadn't heard it before, I haven't heard it
since, I haven't heard it used by anyone else, and finding even a
single instance of it in print messes with my mind..
And, of course, this cite from nearly forty years later hardly
precludes the assumption that this former buddy *did* make it up.
