OED's word of the day is merry-andrew. They have quotations with it as a noun from 1677 and as a proper name from 1668.

Though I can't confirm the date, Worldcat lists the following, said to be from 1660:

 A Hue-and-cry, touching false-coyners, filers, washers, brokers, venders of counterfeit money, receivers of stoln-goods /
