ESPN wrap-up, alluding to the fans who gathered at the Civic Center in San Francisco to watch their team win the clinching game in Detroit:  "It's so hard to understate the relationship between the Giants and their baseball fans in that city"

(By "understate" he meant "overstate". Or by "hard" he meant "easy". But not both.)
